Compulse Systems, an integrated applications and
network management player, has scheduled the commercial launch of its first product
Virtual Cluster Monitoring (VCM) during the first week of November this year. The product,
an out-of-the-box tool suite, will hit the US markets before being launched in other
global markets.
Speaking to ET here on Tuesday, Compulse Systems
managing director, Mr. Prateek Jaswant said the beta tests of the products are through and
the product will be released to the clients in the US. The product is priced as a low-cost
solution that will allow users to manage complex applications in a cost-effective manner,
he said.
The application and network management market
is estimated at $3.1 billion market growing at 18-20 per cent annually. There is a great
need for easy to use web based tools which could be easily customized for monitoring and
managing specific applications, which the existing products do not offer. Our target
market will the US market and we are also looking at markets of Europe, Asia-Pacific,
particularly Australia, said Mr. Jaswant.
Compulse, with its primary focus being the SME
segment, plans to push the product through distribution channels end users and solutions providers. While the company is in
the process of establishing alliances and partnerships with top notch IT firms round the
globe, there are companies such as Intelligroup, IBM Global Services, Microland and Compaq
Computers India that have agreed to evaluate VCM before implementing the product in their
network.
VCM comprises of a suite of networking and
applications management tools and software providing the necessary tools and functions to add
custom monitoring and management functions to any enterprise application. The
company is working on solutions in the areas of optical fibre.
